The Pic du Midi, the Association Instant Science and the CPIE 65 (Centre Permanent d'Initiatives pour l'Environnement Bigorre - Pyrénées) have teamed up to offer a programme of events to take visitors on a quest for history. This summer, the Pic du Midi has decided to bring back to life the Tour de France, which made the Col du Tourmalet internationally famous, through historic black and white photos from the Alix collection. The ascent, the elevation, the combativeness, the surpassing of oneself, are the key words of this ascent to the Col just as the construction of the Pic du Midi was.
