Climbing and visiting the Pic

At the end of the day, as all the visitors descend, you have the privilege to spend the night on the Peak!

On arrival at the summit, you will be escorted to your room. You'll still have time to wander the terraces and admire the Pyrenees, before enjoying a special welcome cocktail.

Sunset and gourmet dinner

Then comes one of the first highlights of your evening:

From the terrace you can watch the sun slowly descend towards the Pyrenean mountains, playing hide-and-seek with them, setting them ablaze and then suddenly disappearing to make way for night.

While the stars settle above you in the Pic du Midi International Starry Sky Reserve, you make your way to the restaurant where a traditional dinner specially concocted by the chef awaits you.

Observing the stars

Eat well and keep warm, because it's going to be a long and beautiful night.

After lunch, your host will guide you in stargazing. If you're an astronomy enthusiast, you're in for a treat! You'll have special access to the Charvin dome, equipped with a 400 mm Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. This, and the programme of activities and discoveries, thanks to our Instant Science partners. (Only in french )

A short night for a great experience

Then it's time to go to your room.

The same one used until recently by the scientists, astronomers and technicians for whom the Pic is famous. A sober but comfortable room with a breathtaking view of the mountain and the stars!

Sunrise & Scientific quarters

To witness the majestic sunrise over the Pyrenees, you need to get out of bed early!

After this magical moment, a hearty continental breakfast is served in the restaurant. As a bonus, we'll give you a tour of the domes of the scientific quarters (an exclusive feature of Nuits au Sommet, as this is a working area, inaccessible to the public*). *This is part of our partnership with the Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées.

It's in the morning that you reach La Mongie, your eyes full of stars, your brain full of new knowledge and your heart overflowing with emotion.

The rooms

Discover your beautiful little bedroom, with a double bed and washbasin area, and above all an exceptional view of the Pyrenees.

Design and comfort come together at the top. Soft wood, in parquet flooring or at the head of the bed, adds a natural touch to the soft white duvets. Starck's furniture, both light and elegant, reinforces the idea that this is a unique place. All you have to do to convince yourself of this is gaze at the Pyrenees from your panoramic window. The peaks seem to dance in the sky, the stars become your second blanket and your dreams fly away to magical lands. At the summit of the Pic du Midi, you are VIPs, pampered and amazed! You won't be able to resist for long.

Each floor has communal toilet facilities, shared by a limited number of rooms.

The number of visitors accepted for one night is limited to 27 people (12 double rooms and 3 single rooms). Reservations are compulsory and must be made several months (or even years) in advance.
