After its annual November maintenance break, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views at 2877m all winter long starting Saturday, December 7th, 2024.
A music stage at an altitude of 2877 metres! It's an event in itself! Since the first piano was installed on the terraces by helicopter, music has been present at the Piano Pic Festival, which has organised an evening concert up there every year since.
Summer 2024 marks the return of concerts at the summit of the Pic du Midi! This year, let yourself be transported by the melodies of Zaho de Sagazan, bring out your virtuoso side by discovering pianist Caroline Sageman, share a moment of sweetness with the acoustic folk of Les Frangines and vibrate to the electro sounds of Worakls. An eclectic programme to attract as many people as possible to come and enjoy an exceptional moment.
Since the summit was opened to the public, a number of exceptional events have taken place. This is your chance to discover the Pic du Midi from an original angle. A highly eclectic programme of spectacular sporting challenges, including the French record for a pendulum jump by Pyrénaline. It's also the playground for mountain races and competitions, in summer with the Grand Raid des Pyrénées, the Caminade, the Pyr 'Epic raid enduro mountain bike race, and in winter with the famous Derby and Coumes du Pic ski races. A tennis court has even been set up on the terraces for a match between Guy Forget and Mansour Bahrami!
Le Pic en Rose marked the Pic du Midi's participation in Pink October (the fight against breast cancer), with an incredible production by Yann Kersalé.
The great chefs of French gastronomy, famous cooks and pastry chefs such as Philippe Urraca, Cyril Lignac, Michel Sarran and Franck Renimel, to name but a few, were keen to show that gastronomy has a very special place at the summit!
